Hello and welcome to historic Courtland, Alabama. Our beautiful, little town of Courtland was incorporated on December 13, 1819, and is actually one day older than the great State Of Alabama itself, so you can see we are proud of our town and it’s history. Courtland is on the National Register of Historic Places with over 100 buildings and homes listed. It is one of the few places in Alabama where you can visit and experience architectural styles spanning over 175 years. We invite you to come and enjoy Courtland through our easy self-guided walking and driving tours as you discover places of history and a sense of the past.
